We always like sharing good news when we have it, and today is no exception.
A former teammate of ours, David Hersh, is the co-founder of a non-profit organization called, “The Endeleo Project.” The goal of the Endeleo Project is to provide education and improve access to education in areas around the U.S. and world. David is hoping to raise $100,000 to take The Endeleo Project to the next level. He’s working on a fundraising campaign and has formed “Team Endeleo Project,” which will be competing in Ironman Atlantic City on June 29, 2014. He’s looking for 10 triathletes to help him raise funds and compete in the race (relays are allowed!). If you are unable to participate, you can make a donation here.
“If we reach our goal, we will fund summer educational programs for Face to Face, in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia;the purchase of two acres of farm land for VISPA, a school and orphanage in rural western Kenya; and a year’s worth of educational programming for the Barrio Planta Project, an organization providing supplemental schooling in Nicaragua. Our campaing will also allow us to continue providing our services to these three partners free of charge while giving us the resources to identify, vet and support many other great people providing education to the underserved.
You can help by donating to the campaign or one of our runners, join Endeleo’s founder and sign up to run the race (raise enough and we’ll cover your entry fee), sign up to volunteer or just share this with as many people as you can.”
